Phyllis Sues is not exactly the woman who makes hasty decisions. When she was 50, she started her own business, when she was 75, she decided to hang on to a trapeze. When she turned 85, she decided to take yoga classes, and when she turned 90, she even jumped out of an airplane.
Now that she has turned 95, she has decided to write her own book titled 20 Tips to Change Your Life. By doing so, she wants to emphasize that it’s never too late to learn new habits or discover new things. According to her, the key to a healthy, happy and long life is staying in motion, learning new things and stepping outside your comfort zone.

When Phyllis turned 14, she decided to go into ballet. After the first lesson, she was already sure that she was going to do this for the rest of her life. When she turned 75, she started trapeze. She wanted to experience the feeling of flying and she wanted to feel that she was really alive. Once she was on the platform, she decided to just jump.
She doesn’t skip the yoga classes in Hollywood either. Now she does an hour of yoga every morning. For her, it’s not a sport, it’s an activity. Meanwhile, she can do all kinds of different positions, all because she practices for an hour every morning.
She says it’s crucial for her to have a morning ritual. Completing this ritual every morning makes it easier for her to practice yoga and get out of bed more easily. Her morning ritual includes stretching exercises, jumping rope and a bit of fitness.

To stay physically fit, she also tries to keep an eye on her diet. She varies it reasonably and also makes sure she gets enough carbohydrates to do her exercises. She also likes the chicken of El Pollo Loco, so she eats it almost daily.
To summarize everything she would advise; keep moving, step outside your comfort zone and take on new challenges. These are the elements to staying fit and healthy.
