Matthew’s Plea
Matthew couldn’t hide the desperation in his voice as he made his case to Emily. “These puppies might be in danger. I can’t just walk away from this,” he said, his eyes pleading with hers. Emily sighed, clearly torn. “Alright, I’ll help,” she finally said. “But you better know what you’re doing, Matt.” Her agreement filled Matthew with relief, but he knew the hard part was just beginning.
