Glancing around, he spotted one package that had rolled away from the main pile, partially hidden by some roadside debris. With his heart pounding in his ears, Derek made a split-second decision. He had to get that package somehow. It might be the only chance to discover why wasn’t allowed to know about the content of the packages. Derek began to formulate a plan, hoping that he could pull it off before Madeleine arrived.
