For the next twenty minutes, Derek’s mind raced as he waited for Madeleine to arrive. He kept the package hidden, praying none of the agents would notice the bulge beneath his coat. Finally, he spotted his sister’s small red car in the distance. Relief flooded through him. “Get in,” she said, as Derek climbed into the passenger seat. “Drive. Now.” Madeleine hesitated and asked “How are you do—?” But Derek signalled her to drive again.
