Brody stepped forward. “You don’t have to keep living like this.” Bob didn’t answer. “You’ve already earned it. All this gold… why not enjoy it?” Mike added, “There’s more to life than tunnels and shadows.” Bob’s fingers traced the edge of a gold coin. “I wouldn’t even know where to start,” he said softly. But something in his voice sounded less certain. Like he was listening—really listening.
