Scalding heat
Brody and Mike pressed themselves flat against the cold metal surface of the unknown machine, hoping to stay out of sight. But then, suddenly, a low hum and a rush of heat startled them. The machine they leaned against roared to life, and they felt intense warmth radiating through the metal. Within seconds, their cheeks were scalding.
