An uneasy feeling
It wasn’t the noise or the busy crowd around her that gave Jennifer an anxiety-driven feeling; it was something else. Jennifer got the sense that she was being watched. She could ignore the feeling at first, but after a while, she needed to pause her step. Jennifer stood on the sidewalk, glancing over her shoulder, but nothing stood out. Just commuters hurrying to work. Still, the feeling lingered, like a shadow too close for comfort.
