Strange Distraction
Lisa couldn’t help but notice the man near the back of the courtroom. He looked wildly out of place – wearing sunglasses indoors, his shirt slightly wrinkled, and chewing gum like he was at a ballgame. He seemed utterly uninterested in the proceedings, scrolling on his phone occasionally. Lisa frowned. Everyone else looked tense and formal, but this guy was lounging like he’d just wandered in by mistake. Something about him didn’t sit right.
