Emily wasn’t so sure. She got up and peeked through the window. The forest outside was pitch dark. The trees swayed in the wind, but she saw nothing unusual. Still, she locked the window just in case. Jason was already snoring. Taking a deep breath, Emily climbed back into bed and pulled the blankets tight.
