Brendon pulled out his wallet, fishing out a few bills. His stomach growled in response to the food in his hand, but he ignored it. Ashley was the priority. “Here you go,” he said, handing over the money. The cashier smiled as they handed back his change. “Hope she enjoys it,” the employee added.
